Badminton Australia is the national sports organisation for badminton in Australia. Badminton Australia is responsible for the management and development of badminton nationally in partnership with State/territory associations.

Badminton is the world's fastest racquet sport - speeds of over 421 kph have been clocked at shuttle impact. Any player of similar level, playing tennis or squash will realise they have to move faster and much more in badminton. Yet it can be played by people of all ages. In many countries children start playing badminton from as young as 5 years old.

Each Monday Night Betty Sapwell conducts an introduction to badminton for junior players. They are taught the proper techniques on serving, hitting and game etiquette. Juniors that show potential and want to get further involved can go onto play in Gee J's pennant, join the Development squad on Wednesday nights, or come for some one on one coaching on Saturday mornings which will help expand and develop their skills even further.
