Soka Gakkai literally translates as value creation society. In essence, the aim of all members of Soka Gakkai International (SGI) throughout the world is to manifest the life state of Buddhahood or enlightenment, so as to reveal the creative and compassionate potential of life. In so doing, we challenge ourselves to create thriving and peaceful families, work places and communities. The ultimate goal is, through the process of inner reformation (often referred to as human revolution), to create peace and prosperity in society. This is usually referred to by the Japanese term kosen-rufu.

With 27 young, athletic and technically accomplished dancers, we are a vibrant and creative company that connects people across Queensland with dance through a varied program of exciting and challenging works throughout the year. One of only three full-time professional ballet companies in Australia, we are proud to be the centre of dance in Queensland and part of our State's thriving arts culture.

The Cultural Centre is an integral part of the South Bank precinct which, with its parklands, dining and shopping provides an urban oasis for people to enjoy our sub-tropical climate.

Arts NSW is the NSW Government’s arts policy and funding body who provides advice to the Minister for the Arts on how to sustain and develop arts and culture in the State and contribute to broader government policy objectives.
